Programs

Foundation Program Areas:

  1. Education
    Education grants focus on organizations and programs that enhance cognitive and social skills in an effort to support educational success. Education grants are limited to programs and organizations serving disadvantaged youth and their families.

    Examples of education projects funded:
    Plymouth Boys and Girls Club
    Day Care Project Upgrade, Brockton
    Get on BASE – Building After School Excellence, Brockton
    Plymouth Boys and Girls Club, Capital Campaign and Program Funding
    Cape Cod Boys & Girls Club
    Brockton Trails Project
    Boys Hope/Girls Hope

  2. Environment
    Priority is given to land protection, coastal pollution, ecological preservation and restoration, and environmental education. Projects that leverage public and/or private grants are given priority.

    Examples of projects funded:

    Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts: operating, land acquisition, Coastal Plains Pond Project
    The Nature Conservancy, Massachusetts Chapter, Plymouth Pinelands Program: operating and land acquisition
    Taunton River Campaign
    Jones River Watershed Association
    New England Wildlife Center
    Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies

  3. Project Highlights

    The Foundation is strategic in its grantmaking, and is geographically focused. We aim to build partnerships among grantees working in similar fields in an effort to enhance the effectiveness of the groups’ missions.
